Seapunk’s inaugural co-imagination camp that started it all in October 2024

Our first year of Seapunk culminated in the Seapunk Playshop — a two-week co-imagination camp in Chiang Mai that included:

• 🔬 A two-week research residency (called Seapunk Studio) gathering over two dozen Seapunks across research, workshops, and imagination — from traditional house architecture to contemporary artistic inquiry, games on exile and empire to un-empire workshops, protocols to philosophy, indigenous spirituality to integrative-science systems, and more.
• 💥 A 3-day Seapunk Symposium with over a dozen sessions deeply reimagining Southeast Asia, converging on four ‘root reimaginations’ or fundamental paradigm shifts towards a Southeast Asian solarpunk
• 🌠 A pop-up exhibition featuring over a dozen Seapunk imaginations (and reaching almost a hundred curious friends and popup villagers)
• ☘️ A Seapunk Pecha Kucha presentation showcasing seven of these imaginations to friends at DevconSEA
• 🐝 Collaborations and cross-pollinations with over a dozen collaborators, including Existential Hope, Edge City Lanna, Nature Health Node, Summer of Protocols, ShanHaiWoo, AuraSci, Web3 Village, digi-cnx, Light Forest, DeSci World, MesoReefDAO, Pagoda, Regens Unite, GM Hub, and many more
